Starting June 15, sign up at the library or www.sandiegolibrary.org. Read books to earn prizes.

  1. June 15: Living Coast Discovery Center (wildlife of San Diego County)

  2. June 22: Michael Rayner (juggling and vaudeville)

  3. June 29: Hullabaloo (music)

  4. July 6: Mad Science (fun science)

  5. July 13: Craig Newton (music with many instruments)

  6. July 20: Little Catbird (music and puppets)

  7. July 27: Wild Wonders (wild animals)

  8. August 3: Amazing Dana (magic)

  9. August 10: Noteworthy Puppets (puppet show)

  10. August 17: League of Extraordinary Scientists & Engineers (hands-on science)


All events are Thursday at 10:30am.

Baby Story Time

Please join us for Baby Storytime! Introduce your baby to reading with books, song, rhythms, and finger plays designed especially for them. It’s fun for pre-walking babies and their parents/grandparents/caregivers. Twenty minutes of playtime will be held immediately after.


2nd Thursday of every month

Read to Therapy Dogs at the Mission Hills-Hillcrest Branch Library!

Kids are invited to read to Boo Boo and friends from the Love on a Leash organization. Therapy dogs help create a relaxed, comfortable, and safe environment as kids practice their reading skills.




1st and 4th Saturday of every month

10:30–11:30am
