Día De Los Muertos Celebration
Saturday, November 2nd
Join us for our first annual Día De Los Muertos celebration! Our celebration welcomes all ages and will include sugar skull decorating, a presentation, and a film screening. We will also have a community altar and light refreshments towards the end of the evening.
Sugar Skull Decorating
1:00 – 2:00pm
A fun afternoon of decorating sugar skulls. We will provide the blank sugar skulls and icing.

Day of the Dead: History and Traditions
2:30 – 3:30pm
A presentation on the history and traditions of the Day of the Dead and how to build a Mexican altar. The presentation will conclude with a live musical interpretation of “La Llorona” by renown Mexican guitarist, Pablo Gómez Cano.

Aspiring musician Miguel, confronted with his family’s ancestral ban on music, enters the Land of the Dead to find his great-great-grandfather, a legendary singer.
