About Us

Our Mission

The mission of the Friends of the Mission Hills-Hillcrest/Knox Library is to advocate for and support the Mission Hills-Hillcrest/Knox Library and the San Diego Public Library system so that each may fulfill its literary, educational, community and cultural purposes.

Who we are

We are an all-volunteer organization which provides support for the branch library by organizing programs for children and adults, operating a bookstore, and conducting fundraising events to raise money for programs, resources, and equipment for the branch library, and advocating for library services throughout the City.

Where we meet

At the branch on  215 West Washington Street in one of the meeting rooms at 10am once a month on Saturday.

The following members of the community have agreed to serve as officers on the Board and in other important positions in the organization for the current fiscal year:
