San Diego’s first Poet Laureate
2:00 pm
Ron Salisbury, a much beloved poet and teacher presents a reading in the Community Room. He has said “Poetry exists in that space between what is said and what is meant. Language is such a blunt tool we have to use to express our experience and view of the world around us. And that world and that experience is different for each poet because we are each different. I try to express, through my poems, my slice of the world in a way that others can understand“.
