We have lots of free events in May! Please see the attached calendar. Here’s a little more information about some of the events:
Adults

- Friday, 5/5, 3:30 PM: Movie Good Will Hunting. Enjoy free popcorn. This film may not be suitable for children.
- Saturdays, 5/6 & 5/13, 2:30 PM: Beginning Vegetable Container Gardening workshops with master gardener Sally Westmoreland. Space is limited. Register online (https://sandiego.librarymarket.com/event/beginning-vegetable-gardening-workshops-san-diego-master-gardeners-0) or with library staff.
- Saturday, 5/20, 2:30 PM: John D. Spreckels and the Making of San Diego. Look at the pioneering legacy of John Diedrich Spreckels with historian Dr. Sandra Bonura, author of the biography Empire Builder: John D. Spreckels and the Making of San Diego.
- Monday, 5/22, 6:30 PM: Songs from Shady Grove. Enjoy American Roots music performed live by Many-Strings.
- Tuesday, 5/30, noon: Attend a free concert by instructors from the nonprofit music education organization Villa Musica.
