- Friday, 3/3, 3:30 PM: Friday Flicks. See the movie Almost Famous on the big screen in the Community Room, and enjoy free popcorn. This movie is intended for adults, and some content may not be suitable for children.

- Saturday, 3/4, 2:30 PM: Introduction to South Indian Classical Music. South Indian classical vocalist Devesh Vashishtha and his accompanists will present an interactive lecture–demonstration on the history of South Indian classical (Carnatic) music and provide an overview of its intricate melodic and rhythmic patterns and multiple improvisational forms.

- Monday, 3/13, 6:30 PM: Ancient Egyptian Art. In an illustrated presentation, Professor Gwenyth Mapes will discuss how ancient Pharonic Egypt’s art and architecture reflected their advanced culture, as well as their active participation in Aegean life. Offered by San Diego Oasis. (Be sure to also enjoy the small exhibit of actual ancient Egyptian artifacts in the display case inside the library.)

- Monday, 3/20, 6:30 PM: Degenerate Art. This illustrated lecture by Julia Fister will explore the Degenerate Art Exhibition organized by the Nazi Party in Munich, Germany in 1937. The exhibition presented 650 works of modern art, confiscated from German museums, by artists such as Franz Marc, Otto Dix, and Pablo Picasso. Offered by San Diego Oasis.

- Monday, 3/27, 6:30 PM: Alexander Hamilton: The Man, Not the Musical. Who is the man that inspired the hit Broadway play? Blaine Davies describes how Alexander Hamilton became arguably our most important Founding Father not to serve as President. Offered by San Diego Oasis.

- Tuesday, 3/21, 5:00 PM: Spring Craft. In this Tinker Tuesday event, all ages can make their own chalkboard and then use chalk to create art.

- Saturday, 3/25, 2:30 PM: Comic Book Workshop. Instructors from Little Fish Comic Book Studio will help kids ages 8 to 17 unlock the awesome secrets of making their own comics.
