Poetry of Resilience: From Haiku to Free Verse
On Saturday, December 11 from 4:00 to 6:00pm, join 14 of San Diego’s best poets including the City’s inaugural Poet Laureate, Ron Salisbury, for an afternoon of restorative poetry. Poets will read and perform poems written specifically for this current historical moment of deep national reflection and a deadly pandemic that has locked down our lives and created isolation and fear.
Libraries Lead the Way
Join the Library and Library Foundation in closing out the year with a celebration of how Libraries Lead the Way on Thursday, December 16 from 5:00 to 6:15pm. The Library Foundation will be recognizing the Library’s impact this year on early literacy, civic engagement, and lifelong learning from the perspective of three Library leaders, and how that impact is made possible thanks to Library Foundation support.
