HIGHLIGHTS

Beyond our regular storytimes, Tinker Tuesdays, Dance Pants, LEGO, book clubs, adult craft lab, and concert, please take note of the following special events:

  • Saturday, 6/6, 11:30am: Tiananmen Mission. Filmmaker Lillian Zheng will screen her documentary about the 1989 Tiananmen Student Movement in China.
  • Saturday, 6/6, 2:30pm: Juneteenth: Its Political and Military Origins. Ricardo Crespo, PhD, will explore the origins of America’s newest holiday.
  • Saturday, 6/13, 10:00am: Pride Storytime featuring Raquel Ita. This is a family-friendly way of recognizing and celebrating our diversity through age-appropriate stories and songs.
  • Tuesday, 6/16, 5:00pm. Father’s Day T-Shirt Craft. Design and create a t-shirt for Dad or that special father figure in your life.
  • Saturday, 6/20, 2:30pm: Downsize & Revitalize. Let Kathi Burns, a certified professional organizer and the author of 3 books, teach you 8 expert tips to downsize with less effort.
  • Saturday, 6/27, 2:30pm: Celebrate Independence Day with Richard Lederer. Dr. Lederer, the Union-Tribune language columnist and author of 65 books, will share the significance of the Declaration of Independence and also the Constitution and Gettysburg Address.
  • Tuesday, 6/30, noon: Concert by Nathan Hubbard and the Green Mansions. Vibraphonist Nathan Hubbard will perform Hawaiian Jazz.
  • Tuesday, 6/30, 5:00pm. Rainbow Revolution. Join us for a special event to celebrate Pride at the library! Meet some of our community partners, enjoy pop-up drag performances, and witness the unveiling of our 2026 Pride library card design!
