In addition to our usual story times, LEGO Power Hours, Tinker Tuesdays, board game times, book clubs, etc., I’d like to draw your attention to the following events:

- Saturday, 9/17, 2:30 PM: Kids and teens ages 10 & up are invited to a free art class to make floral/geometric art in the style of Spanish tiles. All supplies will be provided.

- Monday, 9/19, 6:30 PM: Mindfulness & Meditation: An Introduction Brittany Hudson from Meditating Mama will explain meditation and mindfulness and all the benefits of the practices to improve your life.
- Saturday, 9/24, 2:30 PM: Getting Involved in the San Diego Writing Community Anastasia Zadeik, the author of the novel Blurred Fates and Director of Operations for the San Diego Writers Festival, will share information on how local writers and readers can find their place in the vibrant, inclusive, and growing San Diego writing community.
- Monday, 9/26, 6:15 PM: Symbolism in Art In this Oasis class, Julia Fister will explore the representations of ideas, codes, and symbols in art history.
- Tuesday, 9/27, noon: A faculty member from Villa Musica will perform in our monthly concert series.
